MISSION AND VISION - HOW TO JOIN
Want to Join the Team?
Requirements
Calling - We are all called to worship, but not everyone is called to be on a worship team. Being apart of Legacy Worship goes beyond just having a good time. It’s about using the gifts God has given us for His glory. Every team member must be a worshiper first and a musician second.
Excellence - Before joining the team, all team members should have at least three years of music experience. Being professionally trained is great, but not required. Being skilled with your instrument is what’s required (Psalm 33:3). As members of the worship team, we should be creating worship experiences, not distractions.
Unity - It’s vital that all team members are just that: “Team Members”. As Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 12, we are all many parts that make up one body. We believe this example applies to every worship team in every church.
Respect - We desire not only worshipers, but encouragers. All team members should be building up, not tearing down. Just as important as it is to respect other team members, we must all display respect to our Lead Pastor.
Flow - Legacy Worship will be that of structure, but sometimes the Holy Spirit will move us in a direction that was not planned or practiced. These times of “Flow” require a skill that is not likely taught but rather caught. All team members should be able to flow in times of worship. Knowing when to play is just as important as knowing when not to play.
Passion - As a member of Legacy Worship, it should be evident that each team member is a passionate worshiper. This can be displayed in many different ways, but we believe that the passion inside should be reflected on the outside during times of worship.
